Stop numbing yourself

Avoiding your anxiety isn't the answer

Men numb themselves as a way to avoid experiences of anxiety and discomfort. That numbing can show up:

  • Porn

  • Alcohol

  • Video Games

  • Drugs

  • Workaholicism

And in other compulsive activities. When you numb yourself you are reacting to your anxiety and letting it call the shots.

If you want to show up with presence and grounded awareness, the answer isn’t to numb yourself. You need to pause, and choose your response.

You don’t have to do this alone.

You can turn your anxiety into an ally that leads you to conscious action.
