Men are getting a lot of contradictory and confusing advice on what it means to be a man in today’s world.
On the one hand, men are told they need to be vulnerable and show emotions. On the other hand they’re also told they need to man up, be stoic and not share what’s really going on.
Men are told they need to be in their masculine, but what does that even mean?
Men are told they aren’t safe, but nothing is done to address how unsafe men feel.
The modern narratives of masculinity aren’t serving men. Instead they are creating a lot of anxiety and stress as men try to navigate what it means to be a man, and how to show up as a man in today’s world.
In today’s video I unpack the narratives of modern masculinity and share how this actually takes us away from the mysteries of men’s work. We then do a deep into how to address these challenges in a way that is healthy for men.
